Case Study
Vermont Wealth & Retirement
Background
Formerly known as Carney Antell, LLC, Vermont Wealth & Retirement was formed after two Certified Financial Planners (last names Carney & Antell) decided to form two separate companies — each focusing on a different aspect of financial planning.
Carney, one of the two partners, sought to create a new brand that would focus on building long-term wealth for his clients and prospects, who were all located in his home state of Vermont. In order to achieve this goal, Carney realized he needed strategic guidance in how to go about creating a brand, bringing it to life and attracting new customers, while still focusing on customer retention and building awareness of his new brand.

The CMO Solution
After a thorough Discovery & Assessment Phase, CMO, LLC named & branded Vermont Wealth & Retirement to focus on its geographically-targeted client base and building wealth.
The Discovery Phase focused on uncovering the essence of the brand Carney was seeking and being able to depict that essence in compelling pictures and words. After narrowing the names to the preferred options, CMO also assisted with the necessary trademark searches to ensure the name could be secured and registered through the Patent & Trademark Offices. Once the brand name was finalized, CMO began the process of building visuals for the brand, as well as developing a Positioning Statement and Tag Line that were later converted to Elevator Pitches. Once this foundational brand platform was in place, CMO got to work creating, designing and writing the following marketing materials, including:
- Brochure
- Pocket Folder
- Insert Sheets Tailored to Individual Services & Practice Areas
- PowerPoint Presentations
- Website
- Customer Newsletter & Other Outreach Activities
